Snowhawk Clan

After a recent review of our forum activity, Clan leadership has made some alterations to the user base. These changes have to deal with individuals who have long since departed the Clan for any of a number of reasons - mostly without a reason given. The Snowhawk Clan remains a tightly knit community of gamers and friends, and to maintain this it was decided that a prune to the roster was overdue. In accordance with the review, the following individuals have been moved to basic registered users, to retain guest permissions.

It's solid, polished, finished and fun game.

It's really hard to point at any one particular thing that's great about this game, but the sum of all of the elements work in such a way that it makes the game fun.

1. Social Interaction

There are a lot of subtle aspects to this game that at first seem meaningless and unimportant but in fact have huge impact on the gaming experience. One of the most glaring one is public grouping. While some people might have experienced this in some way in some other game, I have not. This is the first time I'm playing a game where grouping and cooperation is encouraged and very beneficial, and at the same time it's hassle free. Doing a quest in an area where there are a lot of other people? No problem. In all other games, people would compete against each other to get the kills, in Rift, you just click on the person and join them. The more people in the group, the more exp you get, and not less like in other games (compared to if u were soloing)....

Thats right Warriors, back to the front! the battle has just begun!

Age of Conan's first expansion 'Rise of the Godslayer' has hit the shelves as many of you know. You may also know the Snowhawks as a guild have retired from playing AoC. Regardless of this, all of us still have best wishes for the game to become what it was marketed as. Our membership as always is personal discretion and that of course includes what games a member chooses to play, so right now some in our membership have decided to try the game again and enjoy the expansion. Which is great, since the very least that will come from this is an honest review and discussion about what has changed and if it is for the better.

Our friend and member Amra the Lion, has started a petition over at his home site AmratheLion.com to make an appeal to paradox in response to the Conan movie plot synopsis released to the public and featured on Deadcentral.com in November. We here at the SHC unanimously support this petition to have Paradox change plans for the upcoming movie and feel that it is a shame that the production company feels that such a shallow plot and character list would actually be better for a movie than a story and roster that honors and follows closely the vision of Robert E. Howard.
