    Hello Everyone,

Sorry I don't come around that often any more, just struggling to survive.
Because of hard times hitting my household and the amount of space it takes to store it, I have decided to sell off my whole Conan and REH collection. I have a whole room of stuff so it will be over the next few weeks or months. I still love Conan and Howard and will be keeping all my readers for future enjoyment, but everything else will be going.
I have been a lifelong (from age 10 and I'm now 52) fan and have aquired many, many items, including some rare stuff. I have just listed my first 80 items on ebay and will be listing more each Sunday. This weeks items include Amra fanzines, pulps, Remco toys, books, Gnome hardbacks, Grant hardbacks, Nintendo game, Amiga computer game, a few portfolios including the 1975 signed by Barry Smith numbered portfolio, and a few more items.
Please take a look, you might find something you want or need. OR you might see things you never new existed. My ebay name is " johncad3 " incase this link doesn't work

Wow, really sorry to hear that, Kash. =/ I do have to say that is an awesome collection, and I'm sure your heart bleeds to part with it. I feel for ya bro.

On a lighter note, I haven't heard the word "Amiga" for ages! One of my first computers was an Amiga 500.

Sorry to hear that Kash, you've got quite a collection! What exactly is in those Amra fanzines? Conan stories, articles about Conan, fan fiction, illustrations? How many pages are they?

Wow Kash, dunno really what to say, other than, I hope this all works out for the best for you.

as Salti suggested, stuff is just stuff, so if this gets you where you need to be, dont look back in regret, but just feel lucky that you had the time with it, and had the opportunity to care-take this stuff.

If your initial experience on ebay doesnt net what this stuff is worth, i'd highly suggest contacting some local comic book store owners, (if you havent already) as they will probably have connections to collectors who will pay close to full price for stuff, and given a time table will chew their own leg off to come up with the funds to do so.

Good luck man, and, if you ever get the gumption, just know that, we havent seen you for quite a while, but youve always got friends here, that would love to hang out with you in mumble, when the time is right for you :shc:

Thanks Everyone for the well wishes!

Things are going well with my auctions so far, had 2 buy it nows and a few bids and most of the week to go still.

Mendo, the Amra fanzines have some sketches, articles about either Conan, Sword and Sorcery, Hyborian Age, or other Howard characters. Some of the best REH scholars of the time.

I've only been able to work 1-2 days a week for about 3 months now and it has caught up with me financially. I have a few bids out so I keep my fingers crossed.

At least I'm getting to finally take pictures of all my collection, had some thoughts about making a Conan Collectors website someday with free access to look, but a 10.00 per year sub to see the prices -- cha-ching? -- maybe?

Just a quick update on my ebay sales of my collection. Last week went very well, a little hard to send them off, but now someone else can get enjoyment from them.
I have listed another 80 items this week which includes: a Conan the Conquerer screenplay, rare 1975 Red Nails 3 comic set (not Marvel) limited edition signed prints of Conan and Red Sonja, statues, movie posters + promo items, Marto dagger, lapel pins, portfolios, Mego Canan figure, McFarlane set, black light puzzle, rare 1970's belt buckle, and more.
Please take a look, you might see some stuff you've never seen before. :D

    Hey Everyone!
Just a quick update about life in general. I have basically sold off my entire collection, still have some comics I'm selling every week. I've kept all my readers for future enjoyment - yes even all the pastiches - and I still have all my folders and books from being a REH Foundation member.
I still do a little carpentry work but I'm off on a new full time career as far as making money goes. LOL - I've become a "picker" of all things. My wife and I buy a lot of storage units and then re-sell the items, plus hit garage sales and re-sell the items we get there. Doing very well at it also, and love being able to work from home and on the computer, its a hell of a lot better than being the hot Alabama sun all the time. I've dabbled with the storage units on and off for a few years - before the tv shows started, and I've made some killer finds which = cash. My best so far is turning an $85.00 unit into $5500.00 in a months time and the best single garage sale item was buying an authentic Louis Vuitton pet carrier for $10.00 and selling it on ebay for $1200.00. I sell items on ebay and my wife list things on Craigs List, plus we have a 6' x 10' booth rental at a downtown store, and we do a large flea market 1 or 2 times a month. Its been a lot of work but it sure is cool and exciting at times, and the freedom to make our own hours and not live by someone elses time clock.
Haven't made time for any gaming though, but it will come back eventually. When it does I'll jump in on something the Clan is playing and get involved. I'm finally over AoC and haven't log in since winter or early spring and finally let my account lapse. Oh well, I'll always love the game, but it lost all its fun for me because I couldn't bring myself to join another Clan since I was a proud Snowhawk and proud to fly my colors.
    --- Kash - :shc:

Heya Kashgar! Good to hear from you! Glad you're doing something you like. And...working for yourself. Always a plus. No boss to get in your way.

Even if you're not in a game (I'm not either), stop by from time to time!

Kash, great to see how you have turned things around for yourself. I wish you continued good luck but I expect personal inititive and drive had a lot more to do with it then luck did.
