    So.............

Am I the only one who watched this? - the Season finale was last night (I know you were @Salticus - thanks for the tip)

Personally? Maybe I need more time to reflect, but as of right now? Soooo much deeper, original, and risk taking than the Marvel and other DC movies (like Alan Moore's OG graphic novel really), great character development, damn good overlap with the original, etc, etc, etc.

I cant believe how good this was. I'm enjoying the Mando, its great, but this is like on a whole other level i think.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE for those that havent seen it, putting this one in my favs though I think

Yes, a very good, "if superheroes were real" take.

I guess I shall be going fishing for Watchmen then.

So let me get this straight: The question of this thread is "Who's watching the Watchmen"?

From what I heard from several different sources, Lindelof expressed that he didnt have much more to say in terms of story for 'the watchmen' at current point, where as the project originally (if I'm remembering this right) was pitched with kind of a full roadmap that were completed in the episodes we got on screen.

So instead of pushing ahead of where they were intending on going in the first place (like GoT / New Star wars sequels) he and HBO amicably decided to end it for now, right where it is.

This may just be putting spin on why it ended, but if this is true, I can kinda understand. Why push Watchmen into themed mediocrity, and hurt the credit of both HBO and Watchmen, when the original fanbase kinda expects more than the license being used as a vague theme, but rather, anything attached to it, having a certain profound social statement/timelessness attached to it.

I want/wanted more, but if they really shut it down for that reason, I'm totally with it.

True. Too many series milk their cow to death (and some have fanbois that keep lapping up the dust too *cough* Supernatural *cough*).

I'm still finishing The Dragon Prince before I start Watchmen, it was more of a timing thing.

If it is done, then I'm with you. Ending things is better than running them on and on and on ad naseum.

I finished this yesterday morning. I get it not getting a second season, it ends "perfectly".
