Every registered account will be able to log in around 20:30 to take some stress of the login server and give you guys a better chance to spread out in the world.
DON'T form large player clusters please - we need to test ALL the nodes at once.

Funcom's task in expanding Age of Conan - with Rise of the Godslayer, revealed for the first time at gamescom this week - is even more difficult than most. Here is a game that was considered unfinished at launch, stretched far too thin over its 80 levels, and despite some admirable efforts to flesh it out in recent updates it's still a little on the slender side. In this case, the standard tactic of layering more of the same on top with a raised level cap won't cut it. In fact, it would just make matters worse.

It's to Funcom's credit, then, that its developers have realised this and thought laterally. There's no raised level cap in Rise of the Godslayer. There is a new continent, the Asian-themed Khitai (which comes with a new player race, the Khitan), but it contains lower-level content - for level 20 up - as well as a high-level challenge. There are no new classes, and no more levels, but there is an alternate advancement system that will broaden the range of each existing class as well as increase its power. There...

Following the request received by many players, there is now a new option available that allows players to permanently rename one of their Age of Conan characters. The service is priced at 10 US$ per change and it can be found on the account webpage at http://register.ageofconan.com.

The way this works is that players will buy 'Service Points' which can then be used on paid services. As the character name change option is the first one available at the moment, this is the only option the Service Points can be used for. But additional services will follow soon and be added to the list.

Players who play Funcom's MMORPG Anarchy Online can use any available 'Service Points' from there also on Age of Conan offers and options.

Once the character name change option is selected in the account page it will take up to one hour for the order to be processed. After this time the player will be asked to rename the character on the next logon with that character into the game.

The new name must start with an uppercase letter, the remaining letters must be lowercase and it is important to follow the rules of conduct when creating a new name.
